Reiki and crystals?

Question

Im going to give my friend some Reiki this afternoon, she gets married next week and is a bit stressed. I have just got hold of a few crystals and am interested in using them, i have no idea where to start! Info on the internet is too complicated. I want to use a crystal that will help with her skin too as she has problems with spots, which crystal works best and where do i place it (polite answers only :-) I need to know what the crystal you suggest looks like, as i still am learning what each one is. I'd suggest investing in a good crystal book, I have quite a few but as I'm not at home right now I cannot advise you but watch for this space later as I'll add more info later.

There are a few god books I can highly recommend.

The most popluar one is the CRYSTAL BIBLE by JUDY HALL

Also LOVE IS IN THE EARTH by MELODIE is very god. PS>this book is very thick & has a long list of crystals.

Crystal Healing by Doreen Virtue is also very good but does not have alarge selection.

I'd guess the Crystal Bible is the most appropriate for your needs.

I agree with Fable that the Crystal Bible is really a great reference book if you are interested in continuing working with crystals. In the meantime, either green or brown jasper (opaque and often patterned), peridot (bright green usually transparent) or rhodochrosite (opaque pale rosy pink with milky veins in it, banded) would be helpful. If youre not sure you recognise them, you can go to a crystal shop.

Sometimes it helps to use a pendulum if youre not sure which one is best for you to use for that person, or just hold them and see which seems right for what youre doing. Place over the problem area, or place on the heart chakra whilst doing the reiki as this is the one especially associated with healing. Good luck!

Oh yes...that makes sense.  Combine two implausible and unproven New Age practices to double the placebo response.
