I have been working on a program using self-hypnosis to try to recover past-life memories and came to the thought that it may be possible to make a super intelligent person with hundreds of years of life experience if this were possible.

There is only one soul winding through time and space, that's why you can read other people's minds because really it's not other people, it's you.

i dont think I would mess with the laws of nature. the reason why is because to be super intelligent and know so much more than everybody else, might end up making me depressed or bitter, or alone.

Don't think that is the answer to life.  Wisdom is not automatically acquired just by life experience.  It also takes acquiring the proper insight into the lessons of those experiences.  And that may not have been a skill you picked up on your past-lives.

Besides, instead of a "super intelligent person" you could end up creating a "dissociative identity disorder" (aka multiple personality disorder) within a person.  That is IF you are right about bringing hundreds of years of life experiences into your consciousness.  

Even Frankenstein wasn't out to create a monster.

Anyway....  Most of us would be better off trying to work on the person we are today instead of looking back at the person we might have been in a past-life.

I was a dog in a past life.  Sometimes I l**k people before I realize what I am doing and it usually creates an uncomfortable situation.  I also catch myself scratching a lot and dragging my butt on the carpet.

Look at the other side. You could also create a super negative, destructive  essence. If you believe in reincarnation, you must know that we have all been victims and victimizers, creators and destroyers, positive and negative. It would be nice to pull from those lighter, more life affirming incarnations, but where is the balance? Interesting idea, though. I believe that as our souls evolve and we continue to incarnate, we are moving closer towards greater understanding of the Universe and enlightenment in general.
