We dated for 3 months this spring after I was new to the city. I wouldn't commit to her like she wanted me to, but I really liked her a lot. She got tired of waiting, especially since I was thinking of moving back to my old city, and broke up with me.
I missed her a lot and got back in touch with her. We hung out and talked a lot, but nothing physical. I finally told her that I wanted to give it another chance, and she said she wasn't attracted to me anymore, to not stay in town for her because it wasn't going to happen. She is not dating anybody else, I am sure of this.
So a week later I call her and we just talk about regular stuff, not the relationship. I back off and a week later she calls me out of the blue and we talk for a long time (not about the relationship, I do not bring it up). We went to the movies and dinner last night. She said no at first because "it sounds like a date" but ultimately went with me. We had a good time, and I did not bring up the relationship.
Now i'm going to wait until she calls. I know she stopped liking me because I stopped being confident and assertive like I was when we met, but i was going through a bad time. My plan now is to play it cool and act confident whenever we talk, but to back off and let her call me.
I don't believe that she doesn't like me anymore. I am working under the assumption that she is waiting for me to come back around and is keeping the possibility in the back of her mind, but i'm not going to be pushy about it. I have not and will not acknowledge that we are "just friends."
I decided to stay in this town and I think she wants to see how much I stick to it. She absolutely knows I still like her. Why would she call me after I laid it all out there how I feel for her if she just wants to be friends? Help please!
