Relation between UK and France?

Hi,

Yes, we often say each one that we don't like the other side, but I think it's wrong and I personally enjoy british humor since I have worked with an expatriate from UK. Too I really have enjoyed being in the pub of London; for an unknow reason, it's some the same in any other city !

Yesterday I saw at the french tv something about a website that is explaining the french gestures. They were saying that the british citizens were liking it because it's self-laugh.

I'm English and I love France.  French food is the best (great restaurants!), French music is pretty good (well, ok, I like Pascal Obispo, MC Solaar, Calogero) and I think they're funny people.  I think the tension between the English and the French is overplayed in mockery.  We're both jealous of each other in our own way... (see that advert - English Car, French Designers for an example!)

hi! i'm french! thanks for your good remarks!

the site explains our gestures because it can be difficult for tourists to understand what we means with all that movements. We love talking with our hands. some can say it's because we are latin, but, it's our way to talk. I know that french can be considered badly  but, it's not because we are just stupid.

The french are a slimey bunch of sanctimonious ,ignorant cowards, with no respect, consideration  or thankfullness for the allied troops liberating them after they let the side down in the first place.

Yet ,they fight britain tooth and nail on the EU battleground every week trying to grind us into the dust,with a little help from blair.

I would have preferred the germans in france!

Personally, I like the French people I know and have some French Friends but I love the idea of disliking the French, hard to explain that I know. It is I guess some antiquated notion of what the French are or were like that we loathe

i think we brits love to hate the french, we have had more wars with france than anyone through history, remember agincourt, mind u i love visiting france and the gentle pace of life that u get in the rural areas and the family bars etc

it's quite simple, relations between Britain and france do not exist, because france do not want relations between their country and Great Britain.
