Relatively severe pain above pubic bone?

i'm confused about what this pain that i experienced this morning could be. i'm an 18 year old female. i'm not on my period. i would have ovulated a couple days ago if that has any value. i was sitting in class and i felt a small twinge of pain very low in my abdomen, just above the pubic bone. it's not on either side, just right in the middle. i ignored it and in a matter of maybe ten minutes, it slowly grew to be so severe that i could barely think straight. this happened to me a few months ago around the same time of the month but i don't know if that is coincidence or not. after i take ibuprofen, the pain seems to subside.

i know i "should see a doctor" but has anyone else (male or female since this may not be female related) experienced this or know what it could be? what organs are in that area?? i just hate to go to the doctor because i always seem to be told that i'm fine and just get blown off.

What you are experiencing does not sound normal I think you should go to your doctor

Ive had the same pain just above by pubic area and sometimes it was an ache and sometimes it just felt really tender. I went to the doctor it turned out i had a urine infection. I was going to the toilet every 5 mins with it as well. I think your bladders just above your pubic area and your uterus just behind that.
