Question:

Relatively severe pain above pubic bone?

i'm confused about what this pain that i experienced this morning could be. i'm an 18 year old female. i'm not on my period. i would have ovulated a couple days ago if that has any value. i was sitting in class and i felt a small twinge of pain very low in my abdomen, just above the pubic bone. it's not on either side, just right in the middle. i ignored it and in a matter of maybe ten minutes, it slowly grew to be so severe that i could barely think straight. this happened to me a few months ago around the same time of the month but i don't know if that is coincidence or not. after i take ibuprofen, the pain seems to subside.

i know i "should see a doctor" but has anyone else (male or female since this may not be female related) experienced this or know what it could be? what organs are in that area?? i just hate to go to the doctor because i always seem to be told that i'm fine and just get blown off.

thanks in advance

  1. What you are experiencing does not sound normal I think you should go to your doctor

  2. Ive had the same pain just above by pubic area and sometimes it was an ache and sometimes it just felt really tender. I went to the doctor it turned out i had a urine infection. I was going to the toilet every 5 mins with it as well. I think your bladders just above your pubic area and your uterus just behind that.

    Hope this helps
