  1. one of the best for me, and easiest is deep breathing.  close your eyes, sit or lay in a comfortable position.. take a deep breath in, hold it for a comfortable amount of time.. let it out slowly... repeat for 3 to 5 breaths..  this gives your body the oxygen it needs, exchanges out the toxic and bad gases we all have in our body... and allows us to center in and focus on our inner self.

  2. One word.  Tea.

Make it hot though.  Drink it outside or in a quiet area of the house.

  3. just relax.....lie down comfortably and listen to your best music...or...go to seashore.......or mountain....

  4. just lay down in a park, listen to slow music or do some massage at home, it works

  5. Sit in a hot bath and read.

  6. Hi, there!

Here is a breathing exercise for relaxation.  This one is called "Relaxing Breath"

This exercise may be done sitting, lying, or standing. If you are seated, it's best to keep your back straight. It is best done at least twice a day, or whenever you feel, annoyed, agitated, angry, nervous, or otherwise upset.

    1. Place the tip of your tongue on the alveolar ridge just above the inner surface of your upper front teeth and keep it there for the duration of this exercise.

    2. With your lips and teeth open, exhale completely making an audible "whoosh" sound.

    3. Close your mouth. Inhale through your nose for a silent count of four.

    4. Hold the breath for a silent count of seven.

    5. Open your mouth and exhale audibly for a silent count of eight.

    6. Repeat the cycle four times and resume breathing normally.

The more you use this technique, the greater its benefits, which are cumulative. It's a good tonic and you can give it to yourself whenever you want.

If you want to take it further, then meditation is excellent for serenity, tranquility, and peacefulness.

    I hope this helps you

    Al my best wishes

  7. See a good chiropractor. You can't relax until your spine has been properly aligned.

  8. Although health professionals such as complementary and alternative medicine practitioners, doctors and psychotherapists can teach relaxation techniques, you can also learn some on your own. Relaxation techniques usually involve refocusing your attention to something calming and increasing awareness of your body. It doesn't matter which technique you choose. What matters is that you try to practice relaxation regularly.

There are several main types of relaxation techniques, including:

Autogenic relaxation. Autogenic means something that comes from within you. In this technique, you use both visual imagery and body awareness to reduce stress. You repeat words or suggestions in your mind to help you relax and reduce muscle tension. You may imagine a peaceful place and then focus on controlled, relaxing breathing, slowing your heart rate, or different physical sensations, such as relaxing each arm or leg one by one.

Progressive muscle relaxation. In this technique, you focus on slowly tensing and then relaxing each muscle group. This helps you focus on the difference between muscle tension and relaxation, and you become more aware of physical sensations. You may choose to start by tensing and relaxing the muscles in your toes and progressively working your way up to your neck and head. Tense your muscles for at least five seconds and then relax for 30 seconds, and repeat.

Visualization. In this technique, you form mental images to take a visual journey to a peaceful, calming place or situation. Try to use as many senses as you can, including smells, sights, sounds and textures. If you imagine relaxing at the ocean, for instance, think about the warmth of the sun, the sound of crashing waves, the feel of the grains of sand and the smell of salt water. You may want to close your eyes, sit in a quiet spot and loosen any tight clothing.

Other relaxation techniques include those you may be more familiar with, such as:

    Yoga

    Tai chi

    Music

    Exercise

    Meditation

    Hypnosis

    Massage

  10. Take up yoga, I believe it's both relaxing and good for you.  It's not my thing but you could try it out.

Tea - great one ... nothing like a cup of green/white tea.

Music - something peaceful, differs with everyone but I like trippier music.

If you need to do something to fix or finsh, do it first and get it off your chest.
