  1. Meditate, light candles and blow them out, put on music from the Far East (Like Tibetan, Nepalese, Chinese, Japanese music) take a quick nap, lie down, swim, take a walk and listen to relaxing music, have some tea, wash my hands, read thinks in the Arts section of Answers, watch videos online of Hawaii, watch Webcams of places I want to go, talk to some of my friends on the phone, lay in the grass, talk with some adults, hang out in a coffee shop, laugh, play with my dog, plan and throw a party, find a penpal. There's a lot of things I like to do.

  2. I find regular cardio exercise to be very helpful, and my favorite is to use a bicycle to commute to work.

I've also found yoga to be incredibly helpful. It may take a few weeks to really notice results. Many people get really absorbed into yoga. I found it "addictive" and craved going to class each day. The interesting thing was that while I relaxed more and had more energy, I was actually sleeping less. I had no complaints.

  3. meditate and eat right.  (over all)

there are other methods..  but that all depends on my mood.

but, meditation is the primary application for my relaxation.

  4. You can get reduce stress through what you are eating, through physical excersize, and meditation.

Bananas are known to be high in potassium. Potassium helps to lower high blood pressure. High blood pressure contributes to feeling stressed mentally. Another example is to drink lemonade or lemon water with any fatty meal. The lemonade cuts through the grease and fat of the food and also boosts your emune system. They cleanze your blood aswell. Lemons are a powerful and multi-use etable item that can relieve stress.

Physical exersize is pretty self-explainable. If you feel like you might explode on someone and just feel upset, going for walk is a great idea.

When your muscles are worked, emotional stress is released in a good way and not in a way that will contribute back to what is making you stressed in the first place. Walking, swimming, biking, lifting wieghts,..are all good examples of healthy stress release.

Meditation is strong mindful medicine. If you like music, listen to happy or peaceful music. If there is a place you'd love to go in the world, dream of how it might be there. Watch funny movies,...laughter is the best medicine.

Being around nature is also a big positive. Take a walk in the park.

For many people, having a pet is a positive way to releave stress.

Many people like to grow gardens, working with the earth and being outside helps a great deal. Outside is our natural environment.

  5. You can do the following anywhere any time, but lying down is the best:

Start at the top of your body.  Clench you jaw, hold it for 10 seconds, and release.  Do the same with your shoulders, arms, hands, stomach, butt, thighs, and legs.

Do it as often as you want.  It REALLY helps!

If you ever get to the point where you're having panic/anxiety attacks, and it's ruining your life, get yourself to a doctor!  There are wonderful light anti-anxiety medications that really work and would change your life for the better.

Bless you and good luck!  :)
