Relaxing before the first day of school?

im going back to school in about 3 weeks and im going into 10th grade(15 years old). I always get soooo nervous the night before school starts, i usually can barely sleep and i feel nauseous. Thats not really the problem, i can deal with that (i guess but any suggestions on how to calm down would be great). The problem is that i have social anxiety and last year i missed A LOT of days just because i was so nervous that i couldn't get out of my dads car when he dropped me off. So this year im going to this program, specialized for teens with anxiety/depression or any emotional problems like that. There will only be about 7-10 kids in the class so im not going to be as nervous as i would be starting again at a regular school, i'll definately be nervous though since im not going to know anyone at all. I need ideas on how to calm down the night before and the morning of, how do i stop thinking about it&worrying myself sick? Good movies i could watch to take my mind off of it? just any advice or suggestions at all would be terrific! i apperciate any help you guys can give me.

  1. just odn't think about it, i'm trying to forget about school starting at all, cuz i'm going into highschool, and i'm just trying to forget about it and think about other things


  2. Make yourself sleepy by doing a heavy workout.  Or drink warm milk etc. so you will be really drowsy.  Then you won't be able to stay awake! Any movie you want!

Well, thanks for reminding me that I have school in a couple weeks XD I usually talk to my friends and catch up on their summer, but since you don't know anyone I suggest just meeting some new people, take a break and enjoy the first day of school. I'm going into the 10th grade next year too, and I heard it's one of the best years in High school.

  5. yea i know what that's like I'm going to start my first year of high school in a couple of weeks and i am so scared and nervous

    what i try to do the night before school starts is get all comfy in my pj's and watch a funny movies till i fall asleep

    then in the morning i try to eat a good breakfast and dress and do my hair really nice so i can have self esteem boost and feel good about the day to come

  6. I don't look forward to school. sure i want to see my friends but I always get yelled at for talking so its pretty harsh.

  7. Take a bubble bath every night! They're fun and relaxing. You can play with a ducky and an alligator! :)))
