Question:

Relay for life-committee?

I have been doing Relay for Life for years now, and this is my second year holding a position in the committee. Anyway. Last year, I was volunteer coordinator, and this year, I'm registration. I need to write up a summary of registration directions/notes to stick in the team captain packets. I do not have a sample to work from.. Anyone have any samples that I could use as a starting point? In one page, I need to touch on registration, picking a site and the Kick Off. Any hints? Ideas?

  1. I've been doing Relay for Life for years too, but I've never been on the committee so I don't have that great of an idea, hopefully this helps you anyway? Maybe you should tell the captains how they are going to register, the relay I participate in have a very specific way they want people to register the day of the event. Also where/how the people who raised at least $100 will get their wristbands and t-shirts. I'm not sure how relays in other locations assign sites for the team, but since the first time I started participating in relay it's always been first come first served, the teams who get there first choose where they want to set up their tents, tables, etc. Maybe briefly run over what will happen during Kick Off too? If there are any youth teams coming, talk about the paper work they have to fill out and turn in with their registration and discuss chaperone issues. Not sure if that really helped, good luck!
