Question:

Releasing several eggs, both ovaries, none mature - diagnosis?

My dr. said that this month my body released several eggs from both ovaries, none of which matured, and caused me to have an irregular period. She determined this via vaginal ultrasound. Does any one know what the condition might be called or, is it a condition at all?

I have conceived in the past, but never carried to full term. Had 3 miscarriages. Has any one else had similar and found that they were producing eggs from both ovaries, none of which matured to ovulate the month following a their last miscarriage? And, have you carried to full term afterward?

Guidance is appreciated.

  1. Hmm.. the non-mature part sounds like PCOS... but usually with PCOS the cysts don't rupture and release eggs.  Maybe for this particular cycle they did?
