Relevence of doing skipping when boxing?

y is skipping involved in boxing training? Wut does it acctually do that running cant do?

  2. its for foot work, helps increase stamina, and reflexes of the legs and foot. i thinks thats all

  3. It's to improve a few things. Mainly geared up to improve your concentration, foot speed and to help you to become comfortable to have your feet and hands doing different things at the same time. Enhanced stamina and improving the strength of your calves are beneficial by-products.

  5. I would imagine it is just an alternative method of cardiovascular workout. Running would do the same i guess, but there isn't much room within a boxing gym generally to be running. So skipping is a good alternative, and can be a very intense workout....try it and see!!!
