Relic multifunction watch

I recently replaced battery after 2-3 years after it quit working. When I remove watch at night the analog dial quits working for some reason, however when I put it back on it starts back up again.......weird huh. The digital funtions keep working though, only analog stops. Any suggestions?Does a persons static electricity have anything to do with this
