I'm doing a research paper on teen pregnancy in the USA and am looking for how religions influence teens and s*x. I would love to have diverse answers, I am looking for any branches of Christianity, Islam, Buddhist, Sikh, Hindu, etc. I request that no one bashes another religion or person. This is simply for research purposes. If it's possible, I'd love to know your real name and city to be able to site you as a source for the final paper. My email is unlocked here, so you can email it to me if you aren't comfortable posting in this thread.

Thank you for your time,

Amanda

  1. In my opinion, think about a typical teen growing up & in their life finding some of the things below↓

    CHRISTIANITY:

    can be practiced to the fullest. there are way too many views from people who know or practice it. it really depends on whether the person practices it or not to determine how it affects it.

    let me give the example of St. Theresa. she vowed her virginity to Christ.  therefore she'd be a perfect example of someone who practiced the value to the fullest. there are of course also married Christians who can very well practice the value & still have s*x.

    ISLAM:

    basically, well from what i've heard, muslims state that women should not expose their bodies. in some extremes they can't expose it in any way whatsoever. they are the reason men sin. any type of physical contact is strictly prohibited before marriage. i've also heard of a possibility that anything more that holding hands & pecks before marriage would be considered offenses against Allah. I actually respect this value, I just have trouble understanding it.

    HINDUISM;

    there are different types of beliefs here. some castes, i believe, are prohibitted from certain sexual pleasures such as orgasms. other ones, i've actually read somewhere, even go to the extent of encouraging young kids to m********e.

    just a trivial fact, the Kama Sutra is Hindu.

    for more info, have you tried Wikipedia? I know the whole point here is to post & find stuff to contrast to other sites, but you might find some stuff on

    SIKHISM; which i have no clue about.
