Question:

Religion and Light bulb jokes.?

2 days ago I put up a series of questions concerning atheists, pagans, muslims, jews and christians. All asking how many of each would it take to s***w in a light bulb.

Two of the questions (pagans and muslims) were reported and subsequently removed.

Can someone tell me why this question was offensive to those religions and not to others?

  1. From my understanding, a question has to be reported by multiple people for it to be targeted.

  2. it is offensiv to pagats because they doesnt belief in jokes and straight humors

  3. I don't know about pagans, but Islam itself teaches Muslims to strive to spread their believes. (sarcasm:)How original...

Anyway, they get very sensitive about it since they are taught to be. It's like you wanted to sit next to a snake saying that you are equal to it meaning no harm but it would just bite for it. Delusional. They think they are above us.

  4. I believe that what happens is, one person can find it offensive and click on the Report Abuse button. Yahoo! then removes the question. You should get a notification by email, and you can appeal the decision. They review it. If it's fine, they will put the question back up and lower the influence rating of the person who reported the abuse.

I answered a question about where to find teen jobs by giving a link to a reputable website listing jobs, some of which are open to teens. Somehow this was found offensive. I appealed and am still waiting on the decision.

  5. It's more likely to be touchy individuals than a blanket religious offense.

Though I'm surprised by the pagan thing - they usually have a sense of humour

  6. I read your entries and didn't find them offensive. I saw that one muslim had reported one as he wrote it in his answer...but, seriously, they were NOT offensive...

I thought two people had to report it before it was taken off?
