Okay the basic principles of the LDS church are being baptized, receiving the holy ghost and obeying the commandments. However all other churches believe that, too, making the LDS church just like all the other churches. What are different in each church?

  1. Pedantic details...

  2. I agree with Mormon_4.

There is this website used to explain things about our religion to people who are not familiar with it. It's www.mormon.org .

There are different topics, and you can see why our church is so "different" if you are familiar with other church beliefs.

If you want to know info about the LDS church, don't go to anti sites, because what they teach about our church is false. Too many people make this mistake. Go right to the source.

  3. 1. We believe in living prophets and apostles to run Christ's church.

    2. We believe in continuing revelation from God to His church, thru His prophets and apostles.

    3. We believe in extra Biblical scriptural writings. We have the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine & covenants, and teh Pearl of Great Price.

    That's the basic differences.

  4. Christians believe that you must receive forgiveness of sins through Jesus' death and resurrection in order to go to heaven when you die. The LDS church does not believe this.

  6. At the core of Christian belief is the doctrine of salvation by the grace of God through the work of Jesus Christ. The LDS believe that there are things a person should and can do to receive his salvation reward.
