what was the main religion of ireland during the 1200s and 1300s?

  1. There was only Roman Catholicism, but in Ireland it was rather more relaxed ... that said, during this era the Normans had come in and were taking over everything and were in turn becoming more Irish than the Irish themselves, so the old system of Brehon Law was being phased out in favour of feudalism.

    Brehon Law was much more democratic.

    Edit you have to wait  For Henry the 8 in the 16th Century and the Reformation for Protestantism to start to emerge in Ireland with the Church of England /Anglicanism.

  3. Noone is old enough to remember. Everything else is just from stories. I read it was Eyptian, another one said it was almost all protestant  who knows.

    The Church of England/Anglicism had not at that time started.
