  1. both  - important

religion - for your soul , heart and life

culture - need balance with your life

  2. Your Malaysian culture leads to wonderful people and wonderful cultural sites to experience on visits there.  Religion plays a part in the culture as much or more so than the campung history.  It can't be separated.  On the other hand, introduction of a new religion can upset or destroy a country's existing culture.  As an example, the Moslems blowing up some large ancient statues in Afghanistan, but I don't see that happening in your country.

  3. free thinker better .....................

  4. Religion is the core.. culture blends with the religion. Example in Islam we are should do a baby shower to show our gratitude for the birth of the child. Then Malay culture blend in it by a Majlis Buai Anak and Cukur Jambul ceremony, together with a "Marhaban".

  5. Absolutely religion...

  6. both of them are important.

  7. The culture.

    Why?

Culture has been passed down for hundreds of years, maybe thousands. It's the way a certain people do certain things, for example cultural festivals. You can change a religion to celebrate another religion's festival, but you can't change your culture.

Furthermore, Religion is good in the sense that it teaches moral education, and the priest/monk/imam scare you with punishments that make you be obidient. Once you get obsessed with religion, you're doomed. You will go around telling people they'll go to h**l for doing this or that.
