Religious, nonreligious and otherwise spiritual people...?

This is a quick little social experiment, so bear with me.

Say you're walking along in a busy public park and you see a person sitting on the grass reading from the Futhark runes or a set of Tarot cards. A few other people, including a child or two, are gathered around watching. What would your reaction be, if any?

What religion or belief are you?

  1. I would silently pray that the truth would be revealed to them and that they would come to realize that what they were doing was playing with the dark side and was dangerous/

  2. I would sit by there and try to see what was happening intrigued.

I Believe in god. But I'm not religious.

I just think that things are, and there's no point in thinking about it.

  3. I guess I would have to stop and see if I knew the person doing the readings.

  4. It is fine with me though I am a christian. To me they still have hope because there is curiosity of the supernatural or unknown powers. I can see the thirst in them.

  5. I'd check it out.  Maybe ask if them if would do a reading for me.

Religion- don't have one anymore.  I'm homeless heh

  6. "How the h**l can he/she concentrate?  What an attention seeker " Would be my thoughts.

  7. id be like hey cool, public park tarot

shoudl go over and have a look

then come home and give my own cards a dusting and have a good shuffle

(non religious pagan atheist who loves occult and spirituality)

  8. I'd stop out of curiosity. I'm always interested in the ways of others belief, especially if I get to be nothing more than a bystander.

I've learnt more about people's beliefs from watching, unobtrusively, than I ever would from having the belief "explained" to me.

    I'm an Animist.

  9. I'd probably stop and listen for a little while and move on. What they choose to read / listen to, is none of my business.

spiritually / religiously classify me as, I don't care.

  13. I grew up in New Orleans. Such events were a common sight in Jackson Square. I'd glance and keep walking. It would not strike me as being out of the ordinary.

  14. i'd most likely keep walking.  if i had my dogs i'd definitely keep walking, as they would be all over anyone sitting down on their level.  they'd l**k them to death and maybe try to carry off a stone or card for fun.

  23. I am a Christian, United Methodist. I would probably not even notice it. I tend not to be very interested in what people in the park that I go to are doing. I don't put much stock in Tarot cards and have no idea what the Futhark runes are.
