My fiance and I are planning to relocate to Charlotte in two months from Tampa, FL. We know the economy is bad everywhere right now, but we need to get the h**l out of this state! I am currently working for Amex as an account executive. Does anybody have any suggestions on employment? I am working towards my bachelors degree in Marketing, have a Master Certificate in Six Sigma, and 5+years Sales experience. Does anybody know of any openings in the area? I will be more than happy to forward my resume on if anybody has any recommendations. Thank you

  1. Charlotte is a financial hub. Bank of America and Wachovia's headquarters are both located there. I would look into what businesses work out of Charlotte and check out their company websites, which usually offer Employment sections and post nationwide job openings.

While a lot of places are suffering financially I've read that Charlotte is doing pretty well right now.

  2. Jobs are easy to find, but the cost of living is very high if you want to live in the best areas.  The majority of people who can afford it send their kids to private school instead of dealing with the public school system.  Also, Charlotte has become a mini-Atlanta, so moving to Charlotte is going to bring the same big city pros/cons.
