  1. You can get some idea on Dubai expenses here

Descrimination - You may find some discrimination in lower jobs but not in educated, professional environment. but remember, emiaratis and uk/us guys will always be paid more then indians/pakistanis.This is a known fact.

    Rent for a 2 BHK - 90 - 150k (1 BHK 70-100k) Depending on area and size

Education - decent international school 35k per child per year

You can keep 5kpm for general family expenditures(home food, utilities etc)

Travel cost, you can find from airlines

IT guys are generally paid 15+ so it is not less but you need to compare with Indian earnings and indian expenses

Yearly hike shall be around 5% over inflation (Net 15-20%)

Veg should not be a problem

With Family and assuming average decent lifestyle (without cutting corners), I don't see any savings at this package. But you guys can easily live cofortably

If you are alone and living in shared acco, you can save 10-15kpm

    Hope this helps.

  2. 1. Yes Dubai is a developed city. Each and every professional person is treated with very much dignity and respect . You will find it better than India.

    2. Fully furnished flat single bedroom, rent will be at least 65,000/- to 80,000/- AED. Find more information on rental properties in dubai on this site- http://www.gnads4u.com/search.html?t=pro...

    3. At least 1500/- AED each kid.

    4. Food :- 1500/- AED, Mobile:- 500/- AED, Internet:- 149/-AED,local travel:- 500/- AED(depends whether you use bus transport or taxi, I am assuming taxi transport, but if you use bus transport then it will be cheaper) .

    4. Travel cost will be at least AED 2,200/- return for each.(I wonder why your company does not provide Tickets to your family because first time expenses of air travel for family is usually provided by all the companies.)

5.Sorry I have no idea about this.

6.Yes , IT guys are normally offered this much salary with experience.(or may be less also).

    7. Savings should be around 9000/- or at least .

    8. Yes ! On Pehla Cable you can watch Zee, Sony, Star Plus, Star One, Star news and many other Indian tv channels.

    9. Yes you can very well use webcams, yahoo voice , google talk in UAE. There is no restrictions on using webcams.

    10. No voip phones in UAE . Its illegal out here. U have to call from landline or mobile phones only.

    11. Depends from company to company and from post to post. Yearly normally AED 1000/- Atleast.

    12. Yes . There are so many veg restaurants in dubai. Don’t Worry at all!

  3. If you have a comfortable life style in India, don't bother to move to UAE. Everyone here is terribly unhappy as it has become extremley expensive. The other 2 responders have given you a good idea of prices. You will be eaten up by high rents and wont' find anything for less than 130 K dirhams a month, if you want your family to be comfortable. I have bought a small 3 bedroom apartment at the Greens which offers pool gym etc. The rent for that is 130K per year. That is a lot. We rent our apt at the Greens, while we ourselves live in a villa for 200K Dirhams. The company where my hubby works pays 140K and we pay the rest. think carefully before disrupting your family .Try it out for yourself before making a decision to move everyone. Good luck. All indians here want to move west as they can't make long term plans for this place. We are glad we have a western passport or we would also be miserable like most middle income indians here. By the way your salary is ok. Govt jobs are usuallly more stable. Ask for accommodation and schooling to be included in the contract and then your are ok.
