from Vancouver and I'm not sure what to expect. I'm of European origin and I miss the livelyhood that i can't find here - i'm not sure if i'm making the right choice, i'm a bit scared but maybe if never do it i might regret it - can anybody give me advise?

  1. Vancouver BC is so cool...

Which European country are you originally from by the way?

And please don't be scared - Montreal is a great town and relatively safe too compared to other North-American cities, trust me!

    Good luck to you!

  2. try an get a apartment first....otherwise you will spend a fortune in hotels...or stay in a hotel that you pay about $600/month and itis furnished. lespac.com and kijiji are good choices.

  3. Montreal is very modern but also very European with the flair of Paris but with western influence.  If you speak French and English you will have no trouble find employment but remember, Montreal is one cold city in the winter time so be prepared for that.  I lived in Montreal for two years and enjoyed it very much but not as much as I enjoy living on Vancouver Island.
