Question:

Relocation to Florida: Best area to live?

We are thinking about relocating to Florida, but since we aren't from there we don't know which areas are the best to live in.

We are looking for someplace that has a population below 25,000 and is a family friendly area. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

  1. NAPLES!

  2. panama city beach is a good area =)

  3. You can eliminate the whole bottom third of the state. The east side is way over-crowded and no area is below 25,000. The west side is rapidly booming. Most places that are under 25,000 won't be for very long. And those places usually have a high retirement population. Good 'ol cranky people.

The middle third of the state is also growing rapidly, but there are towns that still fit your needs. Areas north and northeast of Tampa are ok. Areas north of Orlando are ok. Most areas close to the Atlantic Ocean are ok, too.

The upper third of the state and the panhandle are filled with smaller towns.
