Remake of the Shining?

Question

It's not really a question, but wouldn't it be AWESOME if they remake it with Christian Bale as Jack Torrence, Naomi Watts as Wendy, Morgan Freeman as d**k Holloran, Anthony Hopkins as Delbert Grady, Kodi Smitt-Mcphee as Danny, and Neil Marshall would direct it.(The guy who did The Descent.)

What do you guys think?

Also, is it me or was the original one totally miscast?

I think it would be really cool to see a remake of this movie. Only if they did it right though. In the original I thought Shelley Duvall was a little too whiny and it was not very faithful to the book. However I still think it was an okay movie.

Epl Just because Jack Nicholson was a perfect choice for the original doesn't mean Christian Bale will be a bad choice. That reasoning made no sense at all. That's called a logical fallacy.

And here's a good reason why Christian Bale would be a good choice........ Have you seen American Psycho??

No it would not be good  for this to be remade at all and yes it is just you who thinks the original was totally miscast

No, it would NOT be totally awesome they remade it, and NO, it is not good for Bale to be Jack Torrence (Jack Nicholson was PERFECT!), and YES, it is only YOU who thinks the original was miscast.  The only way it would be miscast is if they remade it with all those ones you put at the very top (Bale, Watts, Freeman, Hopkins, etc...).

The only thing interesting you brought up is about Neil Marshal directing it, if they are dumb enough to remake it -- again.
