everyone says i look too small to be having twins (belly), but at my 20 week ultrasound, two weeks ago, the tech said both babies were measuring 20 weeks and 3 days. So why are people making comments. Am I to be big now?

  1. Everyone is different!!

    Forget what they say..

I know you have twins but even with one- I didnt how until 5 1/2 months.

All that matters is those babies are healthy and kicking

    CONGRATS to YOU!!

im sure your belly is perfect/

  2. as long as the baby's are fine, don't worry about it.

but I got that remark a lot when I was preggo(even though I got huge the last month) my answer was

"well It's just that I haven't gained excessive pregnancy weight so my stomach is all baby and not baby AND fat which would make it look bigger, but the baby(or babies) is growing perfect and I don't mind because that means after I give birth I'll get my abs back" (I never really had "abs" before I was preggo but I was thin) it was so funny to see the look on people's faces! that shut them up, mostly from jealousy i noticed.

anyway, 20 weeks is still early anyway to be showing

added: look at Nicole Kidman, she hardly had a bump even at 9 months and her baby was perfect size/weight at birth

  3. Sounds to me like you just have a nice neat bump and people are expecting you to be huge.  I wouldnt worry about it, if you were carrying one they would be doing the opposite and telling you how huge you are and making jokes about twins.  I would just thank your lucky starts that you arent huge as you would be super uncomfortable.   So long as your babies are measuring fine then you have nothing to worry about.  People will make comments about the size of your bump the whole way through your pregnancy so just nod and smile politely and dont take what they say to heart too much!

Congratulations on your babies and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

  4. Whatever size you are is fine, as long as your babies are healthy.

  5. It's okay seriously! I'm pregnant with a boy, second time, and EVERYONE tells me I'm so tiny and such, but it's normal! My stomach is just all baby.  I'm not a big person and not everyone blooms as soon as the rest, or just never get huge.  It's fine though, don't worry!

  6. Take it as a compliment!  You look great and are carrying well . . . especially for twins!  So long as your OB is comfortable with your weight gain, blood pressure, and size of the twins . . . you are good!

I am 36 weeks pregnant with my twins and people are constantly shocked that I am expecting twins!

Best wishes for a happy & healthy pregnancy!

  7. Because people will ALWAYS be up in your business during pregnancy telling you you look too small, big, you are eating the wrong things, you shouldn't do A,B,C. I get it a lot! If everything looks fine to your OB just smile and nod.

  8. as long as your babies are healthy thats all that matters.

Count yourself lucky,I was huge with my twins.

  9. Dont listen to what others say...some people only wish they maintained a healthy weight during pregnancy.  If your babies are growing the way they are supposed than dont worry about it.  My grandmother had twin girls, both perfectly healthy, and she only gained 9 pounds.  Dont ask he how, but she only gained 9 pounds, so keep up the good work (:

  10. I'm 33 weeks 5 days pregnant and everyone asks me if i'm having twins because to them I look 'big' or 'further along' than I should be. I just look at them, smile and say 'nope it's just one,he's gonna be one healthy little boy I guess!' and go on about my way. I just try to ignore there ignorant remarks and not let it get to me. All that should matter is what the doctor says and if he says the babies are measuring at what they should be then don't worry about what other people say because after-all they are not the doctors here! Good Luck and Congratulations on your twins!!

  11. You probably just have strong abdominal muscles - lucky you!  I've known a couple of women who, even at 9 months, hardly had any bump and gave birth to healthy babies.

  12. Tell everyone to shut up and go away... if u cant have anything positive dont say anything to me!!

Everyone grows in diffrent ways.. If ur really petite ur gonna carry small... single, twins or triplets!

If ur Dr is not worried and if ur eating properly and gaining the right amount of weight. U shouldnt be worried and neither should anyone else!

    Thats my take anyways

Congrats on ur twins and have a wonderful and safe Delivery!!

  13. DON'T WORRY EVERYONE CARRIES DIFFERENTLY SO DON'T WORRY YOURSELF AND ALSO MOST PEOPLE MIGHT MEAN IT AS  A COMPLIMENT BECAUSE YOUR NOT REALLY BIG AND YOU LOOK FABULOUS BEING PREGNANT SO ENJOY CHILD YOUR OKAY!!!!!
