Remchukov denies interest in Chelsea’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Demba-Ba-c10812 and confirms Samba’s return at Anzhi – Football News
Anzhi Makhachkala chairman, Konstantin Remchukov, has denied an interest in signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 striker, Demba Ba, after saying that Roman Abramovich is not likely to sell the Senegalese player, the English Premier League club bought
barely six months ago.
“The rumours are not true in any case. I do not think Abramovich wants to get rid of the player quickly. The situation will be clearer until next week. We are delighted to announce that Samba signed a four-year contract at Anzhi
after passing medical examination,” Remchukov was quoted as saying.
News in Russian media suggest that Ba, who joined the London-based club from Newcastle United back in the winter transfer window, is likely to be shipped out of Stamford Bridge in order to fund a move for Borussia Dortmund’s attacker
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Lewandowski.
Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to sign Lewandowski, who played a significant role in eliminating Real Madrid from the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League after scoring four goals against them, at Chelsea.
The Dortmund-based club, who missed out a chance to win the European tournament following their 1-2 defeat against Bayern Munich at New Wembley Stadium two months ago, will only let the Polish striker leave should they get at least
30 million pounds.
History is evident that Abramovich, Chelsea’s owner, can spend big time. The Russian billionaire spent over hundred million Euros to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oscar-c28720 after paying a British record transfer fee to capture Fernando
Torres from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 FC.
If speculations are to be believed, the Blues are leading the race to sign Lewandowski despite facing stiff competition from Real Madrid, Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain and AS Monaco respectively.
Anzhi, on the other hand, will be benefited if the London-based club managed to sign Lewandowski because they will let Ba, for whom they paid just seven million Euros, leave the English outfit.
Speaking on Samba’s return, Remchukov said that the French born Congolese defender signed a four-year contract after passing medical examination.
Samba, who joined Queen Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385, returned to the Makhachkala-based club for reportedly 12 million Euros.
