Konstantin Remchukov has told that the defending Russian Premier League champions, Zenit St. Petersburg, are after Anzhi Makhachkala’s Mbark Boussoufa

As the January transfer window is approaching, the gossips and rumours about the possible transitions of the famous players to other clubs have started to flow regardless of the fact that neither of the party at either end considering a move or not.

The St. Petersburg club have arguably proved them as one of the most successful club in recent years, having notched back-to-back league titles respectively. In addition they made the headlines after reportedly investing 100 million Euros on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Axel-Witsel-c7029.

If speculations are to be believed, Luciano Spalletti is keen to add Anzhi Makhachkala’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/RSC-Anderlecht-c40394 attacker’s impressive form this season.

According to an inner source, the St. Petersburg club are preparing a lucrative offer, reported to be around 10 million Euros up front with added incentives in case the 28-year-old keeps his form.

And there is little arguing to the statement that the Moroccan International mesmerized the audience with his spectacular, fantastic, jaw dropping performances and juggling skills.

Guus Hiddink has used the former Gent player on the right flank and Boussoufa, in turn, has justified the coach’s decision after settling well despite being handed a difficult and unfamiliar role.

Anzhi chairman, Konstantin Remchukov, has added fuel to the speculations after publically admitting on a social networking website that Spalletti is a long time admirer of the Moroccan midfielder.

However, the chairman handled the situation professionally after insisting that the defending champions are yet to send a formal proposal in a bid to acquire the services of the Makhachkala-based club’s prized asset.

"Spalletti has shown interest to sign him (Boussoufa) but he has not come up with any formal proposal,” Remchukov wrote on his Twitter account.

The last time Boussoufa played against the defending champions at Petrovsky stadium, the league tie ended in a 1-1 draw, courtesy goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 from Zenit and Anzhi respectively.

As things stand, Anzhi are at the 2nd spot on the league table, one place and two points ahead from the St. Petersburg club in the standings.
