When I was in high school as a junior I pumped gas, nothing but the gallon guage, having to figure up what to charge, and the price was 15 cents per gallon and special of 8 gallons for a dollar. People weren't spending more than a dollar and driving was  a necessity, not a luxury. Today many would drive to their bathroom if the hallway was paved.

It'll go down right before the election. Then it will go back up.

Note that oil prices took a significant dip near the end of last week, and are still there (~$145-$127 bbl).

After the next president is in office, maybe about February, gas and diesel prices will drop dramatically.

I remember pulling into a gas station and seeing the price had popped up over $1 (yes, I said one dollar) and I thought that was so outrageous that I turned around and left refusing to fill up.
