Olympique Lyonnais have been performing quite well this season, as the Rhone giants lead the Ligue 1 table. The team was on a streak of three victories, while coming in to the game. However, fate didn’t seem to favour the Ligue 1 outfit, as the side struggled
to score against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AS-Nancy-c38468 Lorraine.
The coach, Remi Garde, also announced his disappointment regarding the performance, as the Lyon-based club failed to secure all three points at the Stade Gerland.
Les Gones are considered to be the most attacking side of the Championnat this season. Despite the amount of chances created against Les Chardons, the side struggled in front of the goal, as Michel Bastos turned out to be the only player, who was able to
register his name on the score sheet.
Remi Garde believes that the French side didn’t perform the way as expected of them. The Frenchman believes that Les Gones lacked the necessary team chemistry to create goal scoring chances. He went on to explain:
“I have to say that my team didn't work as well as usual. There were people missing at kick-off, even if those who came in showed the right attitude. We were a little less good in our play as it's not easy to build an understanding.”
The coach also went on to highlight the increasing number of injuries, due to which several players were not available for the game. Furthermore, the French outfit will have to bear with the injuries sustained during the fixture against AS Nancy. The 46-year-old
said:
“There were also quite a few things which went against us during the game. In addition to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Lacazette-c4895 at half-time due to injury. It's possible [they might play against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday], but it's
not impossible they won't.”
Lyon would be facing Paris Saint-Germain in their upcoming fixture at the Parc des Princes. With both sides fighting for the top spot in the league, it would prove to be a nail-biting encounter between the two sides.
