After signing UAE captain Hamdan Al-Kamali from Al-Gharafa, Olympique Lyonnais coach Remi Garde has now expressed his willingness to give the youngster time to adapt to life in the French Ligue 1

centre-back.
Al-Kamali is Lyon’s first-ever signing from UAE and it seems that the youngster might be the first of many Middle-Eastern players who couldarrive at the Rhone club in future.
Remi Garde had been in the market for a new central defender for quite some time. However, the club’s financial situation meant that the Frenchman had to wait patiently in order to sign the player. what made the task easier for Garde was Kamali’s eagerness
to join Olympique Lyonnais at any cost.
A delighted, Remi Garde was visibly pleased at being able to sign a player who he had been following eversince he was named the new coach of Olympique Lyonnais last summer.
Initially, Les Gones failed to bring the player on loan last year. Then, the player’s club refused to enter into negotiations. Al-Kamali was equally desperate to sign for the seven-time Ligue 1 champions and even considered leaving his national team in order
to travel to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 and strike a deal with the Rhone giants.
However, things finally started settling down and Lyon were able to capture a defender who has already been touted for a great future.
According to Remi Garde, Al-Kamali will settle at the club soon.
“He is a central defender who will have to adapt gradually to his new environment. I’ve spent time with him on my short stay in Abu Dhabi and I found him to be someone with a good spirit. This is important. He is thirsty for recognition. When someone comes
up with this attitude, it facilitates his integration.”
Hamdan Al-Kamali’s arrival at Lyon now means that Remi Garde has a lot of good defensive options at his disposal.
