midfield as Marseille were unable to get a stranglehold in the game.
Since the sacking of previous coach Claude Puel, Les Gones have seen a big change in the club’s policy. After spending so lavishly in the last two transfer markets, Lyon spent only 5 million Euros on new recruits and Garde preferred giving the academy players
more chances to impress.
The likes of Gonalons and Clement Grenier are already reaping the benefits of Garde’s experiments and more academy youngsters are sure to follow suit.
With things looking bright, Garde is satisfied with his side’s performances so far. “I will not hide my pleasure and consider the recent happenings more important for the club and the players,” the Frenchman said on the club’s official website.
Though Garde preferred to acknowledge the whole team’s effort, he could not help but highlight a few things after an almost perfect start to the season. Garde called goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-Lloris-c16408 a great talent.
“The Kone-Lovren partnership has worked well. The two have done well to adapt so quickly in a short space of time,” Garde said before praising the midfield duo of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kim-c20955 Kallstrom.
Though Garde is satisfied with the midfield partnership, the Lyon coach said that Gonalons still needs some time to shine even more. While talking about the formations, Garde said that Kallstrom can operate in any formation but Gonalons still needs to learn
adaptability.
Les Gones now face Stade Malherbe de Caen in Week 7 of the Ligue 1 action and Garde would definitely be looking to keep intact the club’s great start to the season.
