The Lyon coach is a happy man in town following Les Gones’ impressive start to the season with four wins and a draw after five games

And coach, Remi Garde is more than pleased with his side’s performance this season. While talking to reporters, the 46-year-old expressed his satisfaction at Lyon’s 2-0 victory over Ajaccio on Sunday.

Garde added that several players were missing from the side because of their international commitments. However, they did well and it was an impressive victory for the Rhone giants.
"It was a good victory. We have spent the last 15 days a bit disjointed because there were many players absent.”
The coach said that Lyon played with great composure but there were moments in the match when Les Gones looked shaky. However, their overall performance was good and the coach is satisfied with that.
Praising his side’s unity, Garde said that a happy and united dressing room is essential for any team’s success, and Lyon are lucky to have that in their ranks.
"There were different levels of performance, but they found the team dynamic but overall, I am satisfied.”
The 46-year-old is pleased with his side’s clean sheet against Ajaccio and has urged his players to continue playing like that.
"Not conceding a goal has been the objective since the beginning of the season and I think it is the same for all the clubs.
Talking about Lyon’s game against Ajaccio, Garde said that their opponents made life difficult for them at times, but Les Gones did well to take control of the game.
“Ajaccio had two excellent chances, the first at the end of the first half and the other in early second half. However, I think we have been able to control the game."
