In a lengthy interview with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 Football, Olympique Lyonnais coach, Remi Garde spoke about his tactics and said that all future transfer dealings the club makes will be approved by him and he will sign players on tactical needs
4-3-3 is the favourite formation used by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 coach Remi Garde. While talking to many publications, Remi Garde has expressed his inclination towards this specific formation which has done Les Gones a world of good so far this season.
However, Garde understands that it will take some time for his players to perfectly adapt to the new formation as he feels that each player has to individually understand his role and how he should play in that role.
Garde still wants to keep intact the formation and feels that the formation would become a good one for his team after atleast one or two transfer window.
“To me, 4-3-3 should have atleast one full transfer window or even two. Which is the right system? I think this (4-3-3) is the one that showcases the best way for the players to perform. After that, it works well when you play in Europe where most of the
games are won in the midfield.”
In other words, Remi Garde hasn’t had a lot of time to instil his ideas to the team.
However, Garde’s tactical preferences will have a big impact on how Les Gones deal in the future transfer windows. Players who fail to adapt to the new formation will most definitely be pushed out of the team to make room for new ones.
Financial constraints aside, Les Gones will be looking to take advice from Remi Garde when they identify a potential player.
Remi Garde also reckons that he will be looking to go for a new formation as well like Ajax Amsterdam and Real Madrid. The Frenchman believes that these teams’ ability to have ‘animated’ formations appeals him and makes the team a more difficult unit to
break down.
“I am more interested in teams like those of Ajax, Real and Barcelona because they have two levels of formations and this really appeals me.”
Though Remi Garde’s side is yet to reach the stature of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and Real Madrid his philosophy could bode well for the club’s hierarchy and for the academy players who show a strong tendency of adapting to formations well.
