Remodeling; Paint & Curtains help!?

Question

I'm remodeling my room.

The furniture is going to be mostly black from ikea, and on the walls I'm going to have black picture frames with black and white pictures in them.

Im stuck on paint color & curtains to go with furniture. Please makes sure the color of paint you choose matches the color of curtains you choose. Creative ideas are welcome!

I'm thinking a modern look.  Always get your fabirc first and match the paint to it.   I love the Ikea fabric inthis link.  You could paint the walls a gray or that goldish color.

bailye - Think of the black and white as your neutral "backdrop" - like a good pair of blue jeans. ANY color will work. You know the kind of feel you want - bright, edgy, formal, earthy, etc. Not only can you go to the paint store, but start looking at color around you. Does your favorite restaurant have a color combo you like? Do you have a fav team? School colors? Try the fabric store as well. The ideas from material may point you in the right direction. with black and white i love to be bold...u can be simple with white walls n red trimming with bold red curtains (cherry red) or do a colbalt blue with grey paint..that would be cool. or do a patterend wall print of a nice pattern like deep swirls with grey and white mix and do grey curtains (if u want dull) or a bright color...
