Question:

Remote Controlled Cars? Bigger Battery Equals Faster?

I recently purchased a radio controlled dune buggy. The car runs on a rechargable lead-acid battery pack that is slightly larger than the size of an old cassette tape plastic case. The car is advertised as 9.6 volt, and the battery is the same, however, the battery seems a little underpowered for this car. I've tried a couple batteries, so I know the problem is not the battery. I'm not afraid of burning out the car motor (that's a risk I'm willing to take), so, would a battery with more volts make my car go faster? If so, where would be a good place to purchase one?
