Remote Desktop from another Computer

remote acess is enabled.

and i want to acess it from another computer that is not on the local network.

i know the ip adress and everything..

but wat do i type in the screen..

  1. Press  the Windows key + R or in the run box type mstsc

    type the IP of the computer you want to access into the "Computer"  field

    The computer that you want to access has to be set to allow remote connections,  and only XP pro machines can recieve remote desktop connections


  2. Remote desktop works the same way over the Internet as it does on LANs. Just start up the Microsoft Remote Desktop client and type in the IP address you want to connect to.
