I have a Hunter ceiling fan that is wired with a three way switch but also operated from a remote. When I turn on the wall switch the fan light blinks on and off and the fan makes a clicking sound like it is trying to switch directions. The remote will not operate when this is happening. It doesn't matter if the fan was off when the wall switch was turned off , it comes on when the wall switch is turned back on. Eventually (5 min) the light quits blinking and the remote will work.
