Remote controlled alarm (not car)?

Question

I've been trying to find an alarm or siren that can be switched on and off remotely (not arm/disarm, I mean actually make it go off and able to turn it off).

My house is in a bad neighborhood and I want to mount it outside so I can keep vagrants away. This may seem over the top, but I'm just wondering if there is anything out there I can use.

Get a remote doorbell from a hardware store and "hack " it .

Radio Shack used to sell sirens.
