Ok guys, here it is again. I ask this a little bit ago but didn't get much help. Hopefully there is someone out there with the answer. When I try to connect to my remote desktop, I get a popup message that says, "remote desktop has encountered a problem and needs to close." Then at the bottom of the popup box it has the option "Send report, or Don't send" I have windows xp and I think the remote desktop version is 6.0. What do I need to do to fix this problem. Thanks in advance people. Hopefully someone has the answer.

  1. Sounds like your network isn't configured to do remote desktop. There's some pretty involved steps  such as enableing it on your computer and the other computer, configuring your firewall, configuring the router (including port forwarding), and knowing the real public IP address of the computer in question not the internal private address.

It's too much to write out here, you should google setting up remote desktop connections to find a good tutorial on it and follow the instructions
