Remote not working, TV won't turn on.

Question

I have a Conia C2170 TV. It was turned off with the remote last time it was used. Now we can't turn it on with the remote. The power supply light comes on when you press the button on the TV but not the screen. Is there a trick with the buttons that I can do to turn it on?? Or could there be something wrong with the actual TV. The remote may work for other commands as far as I know but we can't find out till we get the TV turned on.

(I have another TV that you can't turn on with the manual button if you turned it off with remote as well....very annoying...especially with kids!!)
