Remote or Clicker?

The REMOTE CONTROL was referred to as "The Clicker" way back in the day when remotes actually clicked. Nowadays they don't, and therefore should not be called clickers. So, what do you think? Clicker or remote?

  1. i've never called it the clicker.  it was always a remote in my house

  3. why change what we call it just because times have changed? What will we care the car next? Or a train? As long as you know what people ar talking about, what is the big deal?
