  1. go with what fred said that is what i did and still do the switch really helps

  2. i would try cutting into the Cigarette lighter wiring. this will only work if the Cigarette lighter can not be used when the car is off. it is a simple job as well. if that doesn't work,  just buy a toggle switch for it. it does work great for the cops as well. make sure u get one with a bright color though so it can be seen wen it is still on. dont wanna accidentally leave it on for a day or there goes a dead battery. good luck

  3. are you sure that when you shut the car off the fuse you hooked it up to is shutting down as well?

when its humming check and see if the amp is still on.

if all else fails just go to your local autoparts dealer and pick up a 12 volt toggle switch.

thats what i usually do some people like to be able to cut off the bass when the cops are around

  4. I don't think it has anything to do with the remote wire, but rather the Line Out Converter. Normally RCA wires will get ground from the deck, but with the LOC you need to ground the LOC itself, it should have a ground on it, usually brown, it should be connected to a good chassis ground. Other than that make sure you have a good ground at the amp also.

    Edit:

The Radio Fuse should be a good bet, it should only be on with key.
