  1. no it has to be connected to the back. cause when the radio turns on so does the amp and vice versa. unless you have a motorized antenna you can find the wire for that in the truck but it is a real b****h to do it though.

  2. The easiest way to do it is to run the remote wire to your fuse box and find a fuse the connects only when the car is turned on (radio, power antenna, power windows) and hook it up to that. quick and simple. good luck

  3. if you cannot do this, then take the remote wire to the positive of the battery

IF you are to do this step, you MUST include a switch that you will have to install in your dash somewhere.. you can buy these switches at lowes/home depot/etc for anywhere between 2 and 10 bucks depending on how nice of one you want.

so first you run the remote to the positive of battery

then into your dash where it is spliced and connected to one side of the switch. the other half of the remote wire comes from your amps Remote terminal up to the dash and slice it to connect it to the other half of the switch. whenever you turn your car on, or want to listen to your sub/amp speakers you must flip this switch on

this is not recommended, and any audio company you call will not tell you to do this because it may void a warranty (almost all warranties are very stringent on what they cover so that they dont lose money to various things)

however it is highly unlikely to do any damage to your equipment (ive done this in one of my own cars and in a friends car)

  4. yes to have your amp shut off while not in use it needs to be ran from the amp to the remote wire off of your deck however you can find a switched power and splice into that but i wouldn't recommend it id do it the right way and then you won't have to worry and if you have to trouble shoot your system at a later date you know what to look for and where it's at !!
