I'm on the swim team, and I need some hair products to get rid of the chlorine from the pool. Links would be helpful. Thanks!

  1. Add a tablespoon of baking soda to your shampoo.

  2. You can't actually remove the chlorine, only repair the damaged hair. The tips of your hair are the most damaged parts because they have had the most exposure. Getting your hair trimmed every couple of weeks to remove the tips helps a great deal.

Also, during the swimming season I trust "Malibu 2000 Swimmers' Water Action Shampoo." It always helps my hair during the season. Just put a little bit of the conditioner in your hair before practice as well as wetting your hair. (Your hair is like a sponge, and wetting it with non-chlorinated water helps prevent the absorption of other things, like the chlorine.) After practice, just wash your hair with it and you should be fine.

Here's a link to a site where you can buy it. http://www.folica.com/Mailbu_2000_Swi_d2...

    Hope this helps you out.

  3. if you search on google theres alot of shampoos and conditioners specially made for swimmers.

    :D

  4. Matrix clarifying shampoo...once a week.and before swimming, while hair is wet, put a cond on it before entering the pool..This protects your hair from the clorine.

  5. i know this sounds weird but beer works well if you wash your hair out with it

  6. You need to use a detoxifying shampoo and a deep conditioner.

A detoxifying shampoo will remove build up and chlorine (my stylist says this) You should use it only twice in a row after swimming

And since chlorine can be drying, a deep conditioner will restore moisture.

Healthy s**y Hair has a good one (haha i just went swimming and used it) and it works great after swims, it's pumpkin so instead of that chlorine scent, you'll have a sweet pumpkin one!

Also Sunsilk leave in creams are great after and before swimming, they make your hair brush-able after you swim

  7. you need a clarifying shampoo, most professional lines have them, be sure to condition well, it will remove some moisture and dont use every day
