  1. go to a local surf shop and they eill have wet suit dry shampoo and wet shampoo. it is mostly were the wax is.

ive never used it before but ive herd people say it works

  2. I think white vinegar and an old toothbrush would be your best best. Let the vinegar soak in on the area for at  least a few hours before gently hitting it with the soft toothbrush. Then rinse it with cold tap water. It may not work on the first try and you may need to treat it again. Anything else, like Naval Jelly, or Limeaway, will compromise the integrity of the suit.

  3. i rally don't think its possible to remove rust from a wetsuit... but maybe try bringing it to your local surf shop to see if they can do something about it. good luck!

  4. I agree with John F that the rust stain should not affect the performance of the wetsuit and is cosmetic only. If this is important to you then I would try just a warm mild soap and water. There should be instructions on the wetsuit.

  5. Once upon a time, wet suits had metal clips on the "beaver tail" The part that ran from the back up the crotch and fastened to the front of the suit (jacket/top).  I had  a couple of those old suits (really designed for scuba diving, not surfing) and after a while, some rust developed.

Now, you may ask, "So what?" well, I still have one of those old suits, with rust stains. The rust stains have done nothing to harm the suit, which is now about 40 years old, and still usable. I have loaned to friends and it is a supple as new. So, Surfammo probably has a pretty good suggestion on how to try to get rid of the stain, but basically, it is just a cosmetic defect. That would not be real important to me. i would worry more about how well the suit keeps me warm, and is it damaged or not. But, if 'appearances count' try Surfammo's idea, he seems pretty knowledge able.
