Question:

Removing a stain from bathroom sink/vanity?

I had a hairbrush which got wet and left a few pink stains on my sink. I've managed to fade some of it, but there are still some marks which are not coming away so easily. I have used a bathroom-specific cleaner by AJAX, but it's not removing. I'm considering trying Chux magic eraser, or some vinegar & bicarb, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen before, and what they did to remove the stains? Any help greatly appreciated. I know I may need to replace the sink as a last resort, but I want to avoid this like the plague.

  1. what ever you use , you have to use it more than once.Over a period of time it will disappear.Try baking soda on a dry towel.Allow some bleach to sit on it for several hours. Again it will take some time to go away.

  2. you could try a mild solution of bleach and water, and rinse with clear water immediately the stain has lifted.

  3. Hi, try using Bon-ama Scouring Powder. Moisten the stain and apply Bon-ama, scour with a wet SOS Pad. Rub gently, until stain is gone and rinse with clear water. God Bless, ~Praise-Pink~

  4. You can remove the stains by pouring some bleach on the stain area and wiping it with water. It for me hair dye was on the sink and remove like nothing.

  5. try some bar keepers friend, available in the cleaning products aisle of your favorite store.  that stuff works wonders.  it removed a rust stain from my porcelain tub, so i would think it would remove your stain as well.  works wonders on glasstop stoves and tire rims as well.  i love it!

  6. The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser really is magic! I used it on my bathroom vanity and my washer/dryer. i was surprised how well it worked.
