What is the best way to remove blood stains from bed sheets? It's only a small amount, from a blemish I scratched at during the night. It has been sitting apx 1 week. The sheets are a cotton and light blue in color so I dont want to use bleach or anything else that will stain the fabric. I do not have any oxyclean. I do have a shout stain stick but I'm not sure that it will work for blood. I've seen so many different suggestions but I dont know what will really work!

  1. Run under cool water and scrub the material together until the water runs clean then wash as usual.  (It's not a stain until you wash and dry it in.  It is only a spot.)

  2. great website

  3. The only thing that really works is Spray & Wash with Resolve

  4. I do the same thing, scratch bites, etc. I have light yellow sheets & used Zout spray stain remover. It's guaranteed to remove just about everything. The stain was on for about a week or so & it came off completely. It also removes make up, choc, grass ,tomato stains very well. You can get it pretty cheap at walmart.

  5. Hydrogen peroxide will get it out. It will bubble on the stain and bring out the blood. Keep pouring a little bit on and rinsing it , till the stain is gone.  It will not bleach the color from the sheets.

  6. Vivid is a good produst for blood stains.

  7. try this

    WD-40

Step1Rinse the blood the best you can with COLD water.

Step2 Spray on a good dose of WD-40 lubricant

Step3Let sit for 20 minutes or even overnight

Step4Wash as normal in your machine, set on cold.

Step5Check your clothing before placing in the dryer. The heat from the dryer will set stains so if a spot remains, take care of it before you dry it.
