I have a new truck and it has alloy wheels. i know some cleaners can be too abrasive and can cause bubbles in that coating on them so i'm treading cautiously. I'm wondering what more experienced car-guys are using to shine up their alloys. thanks.

  1. Eagle brand spoke wheel cleaner will take care of the problem caused bu brake dust. When it's time to replace the disc brake pads be sure to specify ceramic based premium pads. They will allow your rotors to live longer and they don't leave the nasty grey /red filthy c**p all over your aluminum wheels.

If you want to be extra careful use Mothers Car Wash Soap hot water and a small bug cleaning sponge covered with a nylon netting.

  2. Don't use any cleaner on them, just soap and water or you take the risk of burning them.I also wax mine about once a month to make it easy to remove any dirt or dust.

  3. i would try a feather duster

  4. wipe it with rubbing alcohol on a paper towel
