Removing color from picture on paper

i found a lot of amazing pictures in a catalog (so its on paper, not the glossy 4x6 photographs) but they're all in color. i want them all to be black and white. is there any way that this could be done? i've heard something about leaving it in the sun for a really long time or something like that. any ideas would be appreciated!

If you can photocopy them, then do so and re-print them in black and white! Simple! Good luck.
