Removing jeweler from a sink drain

Question

My husband gave me diamond ear rings for my birthday. I was removing the ear ring and it fell into the sink drain. The water was off and I live in a single family home. How can I retrieve it from the drain?

Nickita it is only 10 minute job to remove and put back your sink trap to retrieve your jewelry.  Look under sink and unscrew on both ends, it is most likely only hand tight.

Get a bucket and a wrench and remove the trap.  It's the curved part in the picture.  Your earring should be in that part.
