Removing maxxis hookworm tire?

This tire is one of the most hardest to take off and put it on. whats the easiest way to take it off?

  2. It's not the tire that fits tight.....it's the design of the rim.  

    Anyway....I take it you aren't using tire levers for this.  You probably need to be.   See if you can pick up 3 levers from Pedro's or Maxxis at a bike shop....they won't cost more than a few bucks.   Or, you could buy a set of steel tire levers for more money.   There are also a few levers out there that look like plastic but have a steel core in them...they're nice and strong and will work for your tight-fitting tire/rim combo.    I recommend the Pedro's and Maxxis because they work great and won't mar your rims.   For really tight tires, no other plastic levers compare....not even close.  

    Don't fool around with a screwdriver or other tools....it's too easy to damage the tube, the tire bead, or the rim metal.
